About

Mindy PInesMessage Framer understands the communications needs of non-profits, community, labor, and educational organizations. With more than 20 years of experience as a communications specialist for non-profit organizations and as a public school teacher, Message Framer's principal, Mindy Pines, can help organizations operating under budgetary constraints deliver urgent and effective communications.

For four of her more than seventeen years as a public school teacher, she was a technology-curriculum integration specialist. She taught students, teachers, and activists how to evaluate and create web sites. Before starting Message Framer, she was the communications director of her union, United Educators of San Francisco, CTA/NEA, CFT/AFT. She was also communications director for Local 23-25 of the ILGWU in the early eighties.

Mindy is not only a content-person, but also a graphic designer. She studied graphic communications, web and print production and continues to keep up with changing technologies.

She can frame messages, externally and internally, and understands how important it is to visually package the message. She specializes in helping you to develop an appropriate look and feel for your materials — attractive, intuitively navigable and readable print publications and web sites.

Mindy’s writing, publication and web design, and photography have won first place general excellence awards for communications.
